Give me a....

I have not long returned home from High School Musical Party and what fun I had!

Here I am all dressed up,

And look at the goodies my friends made for me,

My friend took most of the photos from the night so I will share them with you in another post when I get my copies.

What I did get yesterday was a fabulous cookbook by Rustie Lee. My best friend Dave actually took all the photos in this lovely book and knows Rustie very well and even asked her to sign a special message to my blog readers.

I was quite surprised when reading this book how simple and appealing the recipes are and can't wait to start creating some. If you're interested in Carribean style cooking you can find Rustie's book here.

I am shattered and the reality of leaving for my holidays on Wednesday is suddenly dawning on me and I have A LOT to do before then so I'll bid you goodnight,

Am I the world's oldest cheerleader?!

Well tonight is the night of my High School Musical/Grease/American themed party and I have got myself a cheerleaders outfit to wear - with pom poms!

I took myself up the shops last night and popped in the Disney Store to see if they had any large childrens High School Musical t-shirts I could wear and sitting there was an adults cheerleading costume!

Of course I had to have it!

Also on my shopping trip it proved good to wait when I was able to pick up this wooden bunny in the sale for £2 from John Lewis.

I'd seen these bunnies a few weeks ago but didn't think I "needed" one but for £2 again... I had to have it!

Then I quickly popped into Selfridges to see what American magazines were available and picked up 2,

And the fun has already started today as a friend invited me round for a birthday lunch (even though it's not for another week yet!)

Notice the candle in a cherry bakewell? We were both laughing as it's a weight watchers one!

And she made me open my presents too...

Which I didn't object too.... I love the film Mrs Potter and how cute is this receipe file!

Well that's all from me today, I'm off to see what Google Reader has for me to read (seriously google reader has saved my life!) and then start my beauty routine for this evening!

I’m going to a High School Musical…..

As I will be in returning from Las Vegas on my actual birthday my friends are throwing me a High School Musical & Grease themed birthday on Saturday!

How exciting!!!

All I’m allowed to know is that décor and accessories are a red theme and food will be American diner inspired… burgers, fries, ice cream floats etc.

I’ll be sure to share the events with you next week.

I <3 TK Maxx

I think I've mentioned my love for America and by proxy my love for TK Maxx as they carry a lot of what I call American "stuff" and imagine how much I was jumping for joy when I found all these bunnies just sitting there waiting to come home with me today!
Even a faux chocolate one like those I've seen on blogs... it's an Easter miracle!!
And if that wasn't great my Easter Betsy from Sadie Lou Who arrived today!
I'm so pleased with my new Easter goodies!!
Happy Easter to you all!

Good Friday Gifts & Crafts

Well Good Friday carried on where I left off yesterday with some more crafting for birthdays I have over the weekend.
This bag is for my godmother and I'm really pleased how it turned out,
The second if for my best friend Kelly and her Barbie themed birthday gifts,
and some Barbie tags,
I love making these bags as they're so simple and within my crafting reaches at the moment!
I was also given some Easter gifts by mum.
This was what I was due to receive,
but thankfully mum's trip to Fortnum and Mason's earlier in the week meant my "basket" was loaded with more things, like this great book and macaroon candles,
...and even better are these painted eggs,
Can't wait to have a tree to decorate with these in the future, for now they're tucked away.

Some Easter Crafting!

I decided to make the Bank Holiday weekend even longer by taking today off of work and so pleased I did as I have a lot to prepare for this weekend and it gave me an opportunity to do some crafting.

Here are the giftbags and tags I've made for friends Easter gifts,

I was so pleased to actually get round to some crafting and all whilst watching the new Elizabeth film.

Easter Treats!

My brother and sister-in-law have just returned from Las Vegas and brought home some treats for me.

I asked for Easter things and my sister in law worked very hard to find some gifts for me,

I love all the little items and as always they've been safely tucked away in my bottom draw.

Mum has got out a couple of Easter decorations at home,

And this bunny lives on show all the time but I thought I'd share him with you (sorry it's not a great photo!),

I'm pleased I picked up this Easter Egg tree from TK Maxx a few weeks ago

as when I returned at the weekend they didn't have ANY Easter decor at all.
